Jeffrey Campbell Litas

Today I went out and braved the sales and I bough nothing, at all, not one thing (I am so strong > . <). I'm trying to save up for a trip to Ireland for my friends 21st in a couple of months (best idea for a 21st birthday ever!) so I'm being veryyyyy good (or at least hoping to be).

But that's not what this post is about, this post is about my one true love, the most gorgeous (and most expensive) pair of shoes I have ever owned in my life. Jeffrey Campbell Litas. I've been pining over these for months, I put them on my Christmas list in a 'what the hell' moment, and I was sooooo happy when I actually got them! (Well done Dad, you did very well :P).

Excuse the carpet, I'm in the spare room at my cousins house...
I've worn them around the house and have discovered that they are incredibly easy to walk in, probably due to the enormous platform and the fact that they lace up.

Tomorrow night is going to be their first outing and I can't wait ^ - ^ I'm just going to the pub so I won't hurt them (if they get scuffed I may die :P) but I'm wearing them New Years so I'm going to have to be careful!

(My dad took the rest of my pressies home with him whilst I stay at my cousins for a few days, so I'll show you what I got after New Years ^ - ^ )

Merry Christmas Everyone

I hope you've all had a wonderful day :) I really have, after being at uni for so long it's nice to have a big get together with my family (about 15 of us, plus 6 dogs). Apart from getting quite ill for a while (I gave in and ate sausages even though the bread in them makes me ill...) I had a great day (and am feeling loadsss better now :P).

15 peoples worth of presents really doesn't fit under one tree :P

At some point I'm going to show you my pressies, but for now I'm just going to say Merry Christmas everyone :)

(Also, I really liked this years Doctor Who, Matt Smith is my favourite thing ever :P)

No Competition

It's getting really really close now! Tomorrow I'm going Christmas shopping with my dad to get last minute pressies for the family, and then in the afternoon we're going to go and see The Hobbit! My dad's not really a Tolkien fan at all, but I am > . < And I can't wait to see the film :D

On Sunday I'm going to go to Canterbury to see my boyfriend and catch up with friends before going to my cousins house for Christmas :D I can't wait (partially because it'll be a break from revision :P).

I love my Benefit lipstick No Competition, recently I've been into bolder lip colours, especially now that it's winter. I decided to team it with liquid eyeliner because I'd realised I hadn't used mine in ages and ages. My skin's not in great condition at the moment because I insist on feeding myself delicious sugary foods (maybe a good new years resolution would be to eat well for my skin?).

I used - Chanel Perfection Lumiere
             Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
             Nars Orgasm Multiple
             Party Lover Cake Eyebrow
             Benefit They're Real Mascara
             L'oreal Super Liner
             Benefit No Competition lipstick

Back to revision, I'm onto coral reefs now, farrrrrr more interesting than sand and mud :P

Purple and Gold Christmas Nails

Hello! Christmas is really just around the corner (kinda), I'm revising like mad so I can give myself a few days off over Christmas > . < It makes me think I should have done a little more during termtime...

Anywayyyyy, as a break from revising I decided to make my nails a little more festive, I used my Urban Decay Hashbury purple polish (I love all of my Urban Decay polishes, they're gorgeous and only need one coat) and then topped it off with a Christmassy sprinkling of glitter with Nails Inc. Glamour Glitter polish (free in last months Glamour magazine).

I'm still looking for my perfect high coverage gold glitter polish for Christmas day, I'm sure I'll find it!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

This time next week it's Christmas Eve and I am very excited! :D I'm home after over three months of being at uni and I'm very much enjoying it, free food, warmth, a washing machine that actually cleans my clothes properly! It's wonderful here :D Oh, and the little furry things that are wandering around, they're pretty good too :P

Evening Cat and Tolly taking up the sofa
Grumpy cat Middy
I've been revising all day, and though I was going to do a proper post I now realise that it is nearly midnight and I'm tired, so I'm cheating and have decided to do an easy post about how much I love Christmas! :P
  • Being at home - Technically not Christmas specific, but it does feel a lot more Christmassy now that I'm back.
  • Decorations! - The moment I got back I got out all the decorations, although this wasn't exactly hard as our decorations consist of a few bits of tinsel and the TINIEST tree ever (although I have convinced my dad to go and buy a bigger tree this year, YAY :D).
Tiny, tiny, tiny tree (and a book on rolling next to it :P)
  • Food - Obviously, Christmas is all about the food. Not just on Christmas day, but the lead up as well, there are chocolates and biscuits in the house all of a sudden, cinnamon is everywhere, and my somewhat odd obsession with eating little jars of caviar starts up again...
  • Family - Christmas day is always so busy with hundreds upon thousands of family members milling around (slight hyperbole here). Every year we go and spend Christmas at my cousins house, and so do most other family members close enough to get there, it's nice to see everyone again, especially after being far away at uni.
  • Presents - I'm not going to pretend that I don't love getting presents at Christmas, I love it. But giving presents and seeing what everyone else is getting is fun too :P But it is nice to see the little pile of gifts you've gotten that day...
  • Doctor Who - When everyone's tired and full it's great to lie down on the sofa, unable to move and watch all the great Christmas tv.
Now that I've written this out I'm even more excited! I just have to make it through the next few days of intense revision (whoever invented the concept of January exams was an evil evil Grinch of a human) and it's time for Christmas! :D

Body Shop Mini Haul

Technically I've been on a spending ban for the last couple of months (Christmas presents aside), but yesterday I decided I needed a treat. So after my morning exam (which went quite well) I went to the Body Shop to pick up a couple of things I'd been eyeing up.

I wanted to try out some of the Seaweed products because my skin has been all icky and oily recently :( I needed a new toner and moisturiser so I picked them up in seaweed form.

Firstly is the alcohol free Seaweed clarifying toner. I've only used this three times, but I'm already loving it. It feels refreshing and I can definitely see that my face looks less shiny after using it. Because I'm a marine biologist nerd I had a look at what seaweed was used for this product, and it was Fucus vesiculosus which I had to do a report on a couple of weeks ago...

Next is my new love. I wish I'd found this product sooner, it's wonderful. The seaweed mattifying moisture lotion with SPF 15. This really is mattifying, and it lasts. Not quite all day, but a good 5 - 6 hours. It feels so lovely to put on, my skin feels moisturised and not clogged down by anything heavy. It's lovely lovely lovely, and has SPF 15 which is always a good thing.

In other news I'm going home on Saturday :D I'm so excited! I get to see my darling little animals, be in a heated house and get free food ^ - ^ Oh and see my family too... :P

New Look Christmas Party Outfit

I love glitter, really really love glitter, and I feel like Christmas is one of the few times it's okay to completely overdose on the glitter :P So here's an outfit where I've allowed my (slightly crazy) glitter infatuation have full reign.

All of these items are from New Look. If you want to make a party outfit based on your body shape (although mine is a lot more based on my glitter obsession...) have a look at New Look's Shape Up For Our Christmas Party Blogger Comp!

November Favourites!

We have just entered my favourite month of the year! I have my advent calender, Christmas presents I've bought lying around my room, fuzzy socks, my train home booked :D I'd say I'm all ready for Christmas now!

As the month before my favourite month November still makes me happy, I love when the weather gets colder and warm clothes get worn :) Here are some of the things I've been loving this November:

Nails Inc. Glamour Glitter Polish - Whenever a magazine has a freebie (especially a nail polish freebie) I pick it up. I'm not a huge fan of Nails Inc. polishes, but when I saw that there was a glittery one I HAD to have it. I have this thing for glitter... Aside from the fact that it's taken me about 15 layers of this polish to get a decent amount of glitter on my nails I've been loving it. It dried so quickly the 15 layers didn't take too long, and it's been over a week and there's been no chipping. I think next time I'll try it as a thinner coat over other colours.

Clean & Clear Advantage Spot Treatment Gel - Since my epic allergic reaction a couple of months ago I stopped using my Clarisonic Mia for a while, now that my skin is better thank goddd) I've been able to get back into my usual routine. Unfortunately my skin has been doing the whole purging thing again. Luckily I went through this when I first tried the Mia, and I know what it's like. This time I just have a couple of blemishes on my chin, and they're going away nicely thanks to this product. I only picked it up on a whim but it's really been helping.

Etude House Marble Marble Highlighter in Rose Marble Peach - I bought this months and months ago in Korea. I picked it up on my last day of shopping before I left, in the last shop of the day. I'd been in Etude House a lot when I was over there, but I only noticed this product on the last day (that shop has a lotttt of stuff in it). I bought it because it looked so pretty, but never really got around to using it due to the vast volume of make up I'd bought out there. This past week I suddenly remembered it again, and it's really rather gorgeous. I've been loving how subtle it is, I love it, I just wish I hadn't been neglecting it all this time > . <

Yankee Candle Cinnamon Stick - I love cinnamon, I love candles. I love cinnamon candles. There isn't much more to say on this one...

Random monthly favourite - Nightwish
A group of my friends and I went to see Nightwish on their Imaginaerum tour. I love this band, I love their music, I love how energetic they are, and how nice they are. I also love turning up early to the concert and meeting them outside. I may have had a little fangirl moment and been a bit shell shocked for a while. This photo looks really goofy because I can't quite believe what's happening is real, but I can stand looking goofy if I'm having a photo with Tuomas Holopainen (and my housemate too :P).

Winter Haircare

Hello! I've had such a busy weekend, and I'm finally able to relax now, I put on my fuzzy socks, knitted cardigan and am nibbling on some Thorntons chocolates (because everyone needs a yummy treat after a tiring weekend!).

Yesterday I went kayaking again, I had such a great time and didn't swim once (lucky really as the river was incredibly cold). However when I got back home I realised what a state my hair was in: knotty, dry and generally feeling a bit sorry for itself. So I decided to throw on a hair mask and get my hair into great condition this winter.

If you're not going in cold rivers every other weekend there are loads of hair products to keep your hair in good condition over the winter (they're still good even if you are going in rivers too :P). Here are my favourites:

Firstly my Tresemme heat defence spray. When the air outside is cold it's really bad for your hair to go out when wet, so after a shower I spritz this all over my hair and blow dry.

When I don't have to go outside right away I let my hair dry naturally (as I try and limit the amount of heat I use on my hair over winter). Because my hair is naturally frizzy I use John Freida's Frizz Ease Curl Reviver Styling Mousse to keep my hair looking good. I really love this product, I've been using it for about 3 years and it works wonders.

I have a few hair masks I like to use, but my favourite is the Percy & Reed Totally TLC Hydrating Mask. It smells gorgeous (marshmallowy ^ - ^) and it feels really pampering to put it all over your hair and wrap your head up in a towel for a while. Once it's washed out my hair always feels extra silky.

Whenever my hair's had a bad day and I don't have time to put a mask on I use the Umberto Giannini Overnight Beauty Moisture Balm. A little goes a long way with this product, so it's lasted for ages. I put a tiny bit on my hands and run it through my hair, from the middle down, it feels and looks a little greasy at first, but when you wake up it's all melted into your hair and the result is soft and smooth.

Hope you've liked my favourite winter haircare products ^ - ^

Getting my hair ready for winter :)

Updated Skin Care Routine

So technically I've only been using this current routine for about a week, but so far I'm really liking it, and I'm going to stick with it, because I've used all the products before and I know that they're safe for my skin. A while ago I had a horrible allergic reaction on my face (this post) and for a while after that I hardly touched my face. Now that it's better (thank god) I decided to only use products I was 100% sure on, so here is my updated skin care routine.

After my allergic reaction I went out and bought the amazing Liz Earle cleanse and Polish (review here) which I had been using and loving a few months ago. I've been using this as the hot cloth cleanser every morning, and in the evening I use it with my Clarisonic Mia. Because of my allergic reaction I stopped using the Clarisonic Mia for agesssss, and so now that I've been using it again for the past couple of weeks I've had a bit of 'purging' going on on my forehead, but that's pretty much cleared up now. I'll probably put up a Clarisonic Mia review soon, because I reallllly love it ^ - ^

The only moisturiser I've used in the past 4 or 5 years has been Simple's hydrating light moisturiser. For the price I think it's fantastic, no perfumes or colours, and it works.

Once a week I use my Cure Natural Aqua Gel which is another incredible product. I bought it online (from ebay I think...) and it was around £10. To use it you rub a tiny amount all over your face and it gently buffs away the dead skin...and you can see it coming off...it's kinda disgusting....But once you've rinsed the nasty skin bits off your skin just feels so smooth and lovely!

At the other side of the week (so it's not on the same day as my Cure day) I use a sheet mask. Since going to Korea 8 months ago (I can't believe it's that long! > . <) I've fallen head over heels in love with these. I've been using The Face Shop's Pearl sheet masks (yes I bought so many they've lasted me 8 months - not every week though :P). Over the summer I used more mud masks to combat the oiliness, but now that it's getting colder and my skin is getting a bit dry I've been perking it up with these masks.

Finally at night I use my BareMinerals Pure Transformation Night Treatment (review here). I stopped using this for a while as I thought it wasn't giving me the same results and it was just an added extra to my skincare routine, but for the past week I've started up again, and I've remembered why I first loved it.

I've also been using my free sample of Ren's Radiant Eye Gel to help combat my dark circles and puffy eyes. I like this product, but it's nowhere near as good as Chanel's Beaute Initale Eye (my last eye cream free sample), so I intend to buy the Chanel one once the Ren one has run out, even though it's expensive the sample took me a good couple of months to run out, and it worked so well.

I'll keep you updated about how my skin feels about this (relatively) new routine, but so far (once the purging has completely gone) it's really good :)

Sunny xxxxx

(p.s. my housemates are evil, one of them woke me up with the fire alarm this morning after burning his bacon, then tried to convince me the house was haunted, and then, after hearing thudding noises upstairs I went to check on my other housemates, but their rooms were empty. I was about to head back downstairs when they jumped out of the cupboard...giving me a heart attack and making me hate them a lot > . <)

All of the Happy Things!

After my not so happy last post I thought I'd share a few of the nicer things that have happened this week :) I'm loving the fact that it's Friday and I don't have any lectures (yessss).

Happy things:

Walking up Snowdon at the weekend and eating lunch on top of a mountain with my boyfriend :)

Half way to the top ^ - ^
Going out dressed as a mouse.

My mum's Christmas pressies arriving in the post.

Listening to Disney music (Mulannnnn).

FINALLY finishing my algae report and handing it in on time (phewww).

Watching Game Of Thrones (and staring at Khal Drogo...).

Doing an exam and realising it wasn't too bad (hopefully the results won't be too bad either :P).

Horrible Migraine Times

Hello :) I've just wasted my entire afternoon with a migraine, I had so much better things to waste my time with (including a kayaking pool session > . <). But instead my body decided a migraine was a much better way to spend my time on.

Right now I still have a pretty big headache, but oh wow, it just feels so good for the actual migrainy bit to be over. I haven't suffered from one in nearly a year (I used to get them quite a lot) so it was a really big shock to my system. I think I freaked my housemates out a little...after about an hour of trying and failing to sleep I completely flipped out and started crying/screaming. I'm not exactly good with pain, especially the kind that makes it feel like you're being tortured from the inside.

The somewhat worrying thing is I don't know what caused it, usually I stay away from fruit squash drinks because they're normally a trigger, but today nothing out of the ordinary happened :S

This is a weird post, but I'm in that weird post migraine 'Oh my god I can't believe it's actually over' stage. Now my head isn't so painful, I don't think I'm going to throw up quite so much, I'm not hot and shivery and I can stand to have the light on, hear noises and actually sit up.

If any of you guys suffer from migraines have some hugs from me *hugsss*, they're awful and I can only say that I've been so lucky to have had such a big gap between them for the last year.

Cute pictures of cats are a well know cure for migraines, so here, have some migraine treatment on the house :)

Party Eyes

Instead of doing my report like a good girl, I've been procrastinating all day. On the plus side, I have bought my mum her Christmas pressies, done a load of laundry, done the dishes, cleaned the bathroom, and now I'm writing a blog post. For an unproductive day I've done a surprising amount...(even if I feel guilty every time I look at my report on the desk, blank except for the title).

So this is me daydreaming about going to Christmas parties. Yesterday on the way back from the library I dragged my boyfriend into New Look and I fell in love with every single sparkly, glittery thing there. Oh I wish I had money > . < At this time of year all I want to do is cover myself in glitter and sequins. Apparently most people seem to think it's too early for Christmas (*sadness*), so I thought I'd make a toned down Christmas look, a gold twist to my usual going out eye make up.

Ignore the messy brows :P

I used my Naked palette: Virgin, Naked, Creep, Gunmetal and Half Baked.

Now I suppose I better get a wiggle on with this whole report thing...It's on seaweed...just so you can feel sorry for me...

Ask Her Friends Website Review

I love Christmas. Really really really love it. I love the cold weather, curling up in woolly things and fluffy socks, the food, cinnamon candles and the festive spirit. But most of all I love giving presents! (And lets be honest, I love receiving them too ;) ). So when I got an email asking me to check out a new website called AskHerFriends to help present buying I was really interested.

Ask Her Friends is a website which helps guys to pick out presents for their female loved ones (although I've been using it to find my mum pressies!). The website asks you who you're buying for (for me I chose mother), then price range (I chose £30-£60) and then there are two options 'That's all I know' or 'Wait there's more'. If you select 'That's all I know' you get loads of possible presents turn up, which isn't too helpful. But if you chose 'Wait there's more' (and hopefully most people know at least a little about the person they're buying for :P) you get further questions about the person to help narrow down the presents.

Ask Her Friends homepage

The question part is called the 'Idea Map' and I always find these things fun :P It has a couple of questions about what she normally wears and a couple about what activities she likes to do. The best part is that you don't have to select just one answer, useful when the person falls into more than one category.

Idea Map

Ask Her Friends finds presents fitting your answers from loads of different retailers, so there's a great variety. Here are the top four picks for my Mums present, and apart from the first dress I think my mum would really like them, so I was quite impressed :) Luckily there's a handy little 'She won't like this' button under each item, so it can switch with another.

Top four present choices
Next you can create an 'Advice List' of the top three picks and if you need to there is an option to email these choices to the persons friends to ask if they think they'd like it (very useful for the slightly clueless males using this :P).

The website also acts as a normal shopping website if you want to, so you can just browse what's on there. Once you click on something to buy you're redirected to the original website for the item and buy it through them.

Overall I'm really liking this website, it's fun to use and I can imagine boyfriends, husbands and brothers finding it especially useful when they want to buy something nice, but don't know what! I'll be recommending this to all my male relatives (and probably some female ones as well :P).

The only downsides I can see are the fact that you have to know the person relatively well (but if you didn't you probably wouldn't be buying a present for them anyway) and that if you have lots of people you're buying pressies for the whole question part could get a bit time consuming.

Diorskin Forever Foundation Review

Hello! I've caught the dreaded winter bug that's been going round, so I'm curled up in bed (as I often am :P) with tea and tissues. It's days like this where I just want to go home, curl up on the sofa, watch tv with my darling mum and eat her delicious leek and potato soup, I hate being a 'grown up' sometimes :(

Anywayyyy, a couple of weeks ago I decided I wanted a foundation for nights out. I have Chanel's Perfection Lumiere, which is perfect for daytime, but I wanted something else. I decided to try out Dior, as I'd been eyeing up their foundations for a while now. The assistant slathered my face rather inexpertly with Diorskin Forever in shade 010. It looked ridiculous so I asked for a sample so I could take it home and try it out properly.

When applied with a sponge, and being not too heavy handed this foundation is just lovely. It feels so smooth and fresh on my skin, not heavy at all. It's a light to medium coverage, but I just added a little concealer over blemishes. I had enough in the sample to test it on two nights out, one with dancing and one just drinking with friends. It was fine for a quiet night, but I found that when dancing was involved I needed a little powder to set it.

My little sample bottle

One thing I did find is that it doesn't have incredible lasting power. It's fine for a night out, say four to five hours, but any longer and it will fade. I used my Smashbox photofinish primer and powder to keep it in place, and it worked well.

As this is a high end product, it comes with a high end price tag, £31 from Debenhams. Personally I think spending a little more is worth it for a good foundation as it really pays off. I'm going to have to save a bit before I can get this though > . <

Happy Halloween!

After going out two nights in a row I am dead...or as close as you can get whilst not technically being dead. I'm going to curl up, eat soup and recover today, but it was so very worth it.

I love dressing up for Halloween, or any other occasion really, it's just so much fun! As my brain isn't really working well enough for an actual post I thought I'd just show you what I dressed up as for both nights :D

The day before Halloween I was a zombie, such an easy choice :P White face paint and some fake blood. I decided to be a zombie in a cute dress because I hadn't worn it out yet...

On Halloween I went to a house party and everyone was dressed up really really scarily. Everyone put so much effort in, and with the smoke machine making the house misty it was terrifying > . < Especially my friend dressed as a ghost girl with a pale face and one white contact lens *shudders*. I decided to dress as a broken doll.

Now I'm going to crawl back into bed and vow never to drink again...

Naughty Topshop Purchases

Hello ^ - ^ I'm feeling good today, I've just finished and printed my salt marsh report (just need to hand it in now) and I'm going to Teifi tomorrow for a weekend of kayaking ^ - ^ I'm sure I'll be shattered when I get home but it's going to be so much fun!

One of my friends works in Topshop and she had an eight hour shift the other day, so I popped in to say hello and try and alleviate her boredom a little. Big mistake. I ended up trying on so many beautiful outfits and accidentally buying two items, spending £60 > . < As I am a poor student I might have to skimp on food for a while...

I got these Leigh trousers, in a kind of washed black colour, with a teeny hint of purple. I love these trousers and already have three pairs in different colours > . < I'm such a shopaholic.

Next is this pretty pretty little black dress. It was on sale for £18, originally around £30, so I had to have it. I don't have a plain black dress like this, so I thought it'd be great for nights out, or just daytime wear too.

Carefully avoiding my currently manky face...
I would say that that's work on my laptop...but no it's facebook :P
I went to the doctors today and she told me to keep moisturising my face and to take antihistamines as it is an allergic reaction > . < If it's not gone in a week she might give me steroid cream which I REALLY don't want :( Hopefully two days of kayaking in freezing rivers and two nights of getting completely smashed won't be too bad for my face...

(p.s. I've been listening to Taylor Swift's new album non stop since it came out, I think I'm in love * - *)

My Terrible Skin Week

I've had four days of skin from hell. It started with me buying a new face wash on recommendation from my friend, it was quite cheap so I thought I'd give it a go. It was Biore's Ice Cleanser which I bought from Boots for about £4, I'd never used it before, but it said things like 'removes 99% of dirt and oil' which sounded good.

The first time I used it I felt the 'ice' sensation, it didn't hurt, it just felt pleasantly cooling. That evening I used it again and accidentally got it onto the side of my mouth, which really stung. I used it again the next morning, but during the day I realised that my face was feeling really tight and uncomfortable. I moisturised, but I think the damage was done.

My skin is now red, sore, itchy, bumpy, rough and flaky, with a few breakouts to add to the fun. I've never experienced anything like this in my life ever before, and I really hate it. I can't wear make up, I can't put my face under water in the shower, it just hurts too much.

I have an appointment to go to the doctors in a couple of days, and hopefully I'll be given some magical cream or something to fix the mess that was my face.

The ironic thing is my face was actually getting better. Since getting the clarisonic mia for my birthday I've had lovely smooth skin, a bit of purging, but I was just getting over that. I haven't washed my face properly in four days, so I'm afraid all the hard work my mia's been doing will be wasted and I'll have to start again :(

In happier news I got to go out on my uni's research boat yesterday to catch and record benthic fish. Apart from accidentally taking the drowsy seasickness tablets (I fell asleep on a plastic chair on the deck for a couple of hours) it was great fun. Lots and lots of little sharks, rays, gurnards and other exciting things :D

(Late) September Favourites!

September has been such an amazing month! Back to uni, my first time living in a house without my parents (scary scary), fresher’s, and the start of my second year! With every new month comes new favourites, so here are a few of mine:

Umberto Giannini Overnight Beauty Moisture Balm :
This stuff is magical, it feels like a really thick moisturiser for your hair. I don’t use it every night, just when my hair feels a little dry (especially recently as it’s getting colder and windier). When you put it on it feels a bit greasy and too much, but as you sleep it sinks in and makes your hair look much better conditioned and less dry. It also lasts for ages, I’ve had mine so long that they’ve changed the packaging of it! I noticed in Boots the other day that the drawing of the girl on the front has changed :P

John Frieda Frizz Ease Curl Reviver Styling Mousse :
After washing my hair I run a small amount of this mousse through my hair and it helps keep my wild lions mane of hair under control. Especially when I leave my hair to air dry, but this also helps when I blow dry it too. I really love the Frizz Ease collection, but this is the one thing I always have to have, it’s become a necessity, and although I use it all year round it’s become especially useful now that the weather’s been turning.

Re-Gen Cream :
Unsurprisingly my favourite new product of last month, in conjunction with my Clarisonic Mia (not a favourite this month as I haven’t been using it long enough) my skin has been looking so much clearer, for a full review look here.

Benefit Benetint Lip Balm :
Benefit’s famous Benetint stain as a lip balm, it’s so convenient to carry around in my bag and top up if I’m on a night out. The colour is rich and glossy, it’s a lot deeper in colour than a lip balm and it gives a lot of colour (not as much as a lipstick of course), but I love using this when I want a bit of colour on my lips.

Non beauty favourites:
Pokemon! :
I never really got into Pokemon when I was little, but all my housemates (and my boyfriend :P) play it.  So one of them gave me his old gameboy and Pokemon Red, and I’m now obsessed. We once spent a very hungover morning (technically afternoon :P) all sitting in the living room, not talking, just playing Pokemon. We’re such wild Uni students :P

Firefly :
The most favouritest of my favourites of this month! How have I never seen this show before!? In my first week here it was only me and my housemate Ben in the house, and he bought Firefly on a whim because he heard it was good. Our friend Amy really, really loves Firefly, so we all watched the entire series over three days, just curling up on the sofa in the evening (this was before fresher’s so there weren’t many nights out) and watching three of four episodes in one go. We still have Serenity to watch, but once that’s been seen it’s all over! I almost don’t want to watch it so I can know that’s there’s still more to go....
