Exams are over, lectures have started and I am finally relaxed. I've finally cleared my room of revision notes (I used my entire floor as a desk...) and I've done a huge load of laundry. And now I can blog again :) Hopefully more consistently than this past month...
I've been looking over my perfumes and thought I'd share all the perfumes I used to have, currently have, and want to have, because recently (over the past year or so) I've found myself really loving (and wanting more) perfumes. (By the by, I'm terrible at describing smells so I'm just going to say what I thought of them :P).
Past :
Lacoste Touch Of Pink - My first ever perfume, I think I got this when I was 14 or 15. I wanted it solely because of the advert...and the fact that it was pink. I used about a quarter of the bottle over the course of a year, and then decided I really didn't like it so gave it away.
Valentino Rock N Rose - This was love at first smell :P I used it all up in less than a year. I really want to buy another, it's been a few years but I'm certain I'll still love it.
Bvlgari Omina Green Jade - This perfume was a gift, and I hated it :P It didn't smell good at all. Probably because it was far too grown up for me, I gave it to my mum, but she didn't like it either...
Present :
Benefit Something About Sofia - This is a lovely floral perfume, it used to be my everyday one, but got replaced by better ones. I still really like it and sometimes wear it though. I love the bottle and occasionally spritz it on my clothes so my wardrobe smells nice.
Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh - My current everyday perfume. I'll wear this during the day, going to lectures, shopping or going to the library. It's such a pretty light floral scent it really does improve my mood when I wear this :) I made sure to put some on before every exam so I could sniff it if it got too stressful, it actually worked :P
Jimmy Choo Eau De Parfum - I bought this after smelling a sample in a magazine and falling in love with it. It's perfect for nights out clubbing or going to bars, it has that sort of late night feel to it. However I don't wear this as often as I should, even though it's really yummy.
Chanel Chance - My favourite perfume of all time (so far at least). This is grown up and gorgeous. I feel somewhat sophisticated when I wear this, and I cannot get enough with how gorgeous it is. There's something very decadent about this smell. This is definitely my most worn perfume of my current set.
Valentino Valentina - Another favourite from Valentino, I've been pining after this one for a while and my boyfriend got it for me for Christmas ^ - ^ It's gorgeous and romantic, one to wear out to a restaurant or to a nice bar.
Future :
Taylor Swift Wonderstruck - I am an embarrassingly big Taylor Swift fan and I really really want this. Just to satisfy my childish love of pretty sugary sweet pretty things :P
I'm going to go back to my book now, because I finally have time to read again! I'm thinking of maybe doing book reviews occasionally, I sort of did a half hearted one for The Return Of The King in my last monthly favourites post and I'd like to try more.

No Competition
It's getting really really close now! Tomorrow I'm going Christmas shopping with my dad to get last minute pressies for the family, and then in the afternoon we're going to go and see The Hobbit! My dad's not really a Tolkien fan at all, but I am > . < And I can't wait to see the film :D
On Sunday I'm going to go to Canterbury to see my boyfriend and catch up with friends before going to my cousins house for Christmas :D I can't wait (partially because it'll be a break from revision :P).
I love my Benefit lipstick No Competition, recently I've been into bolder lip colours, especially now that it's winter. I decided to team it with liquid eyeliner because I'd realised I hadn't used mine in ages and ages. My skin's not in great condition at the moment because I insist on feeding myself delicious sugary foods (maybe a good new years resolution would be to eat well for my skin?).
I used - Chanel Perfection Lumiere
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
Nars Orgasm Multiple
Party Lover Cake Eyebrow
Benefit They're Real Mascara
L'oreal Super Liner
Benefit No Competition lipstick
Back to revision, I'm onto coral reefs now, farrrrrr more interesting than sand and mud :P

Getting Rid Of Dark Circles
I've just been on a really really long dog walk and now I'm starting to feel sleepy. We walked around a gorgeous lake, which also happened to be where the river bits of Chocolat were filmed (loooove that film). Now I'm back and ready to curl up and blog :)
I've had really bad horrible evil dark circles for ages and ages and I've always hated them, but recently they've actually been getting better (haven't disappeared completely yet though :P). I thought I'd share a few of my favourite tricks.
The biggest thing that has affected my dark circles has been changing my diet. I didn't know for months and months that the reason I was ill all the time (every single day :P) was that I was gluten intolerant. Now that I've cut out gluten a very welcome side effect has been a decrease in the darkness of my under eye circles. Obviously this won't affect most people, but it has been the case for me.
Another thing has been sleeeeeeeep. Not a shocker really. But over exams my sleeping patterns became really erratic and fragmented. I'd get to sleep about 5am, but keep tossing and turning waking up every 20 minutes or so until about 11am when I'd start revising again (this is not a good way to revise btw...). So since coming home and getting to sleep at normal times my bags and circles have lessened, (my skin and energy levels have gone up too :P).
This time of year is horrible for allergy sufferers, pollen flies about everywhere bunging up your nose and giving you puffy eyes. I always have an allergy tablet every day in the summer (and whenever I'm around my little fluffy cats) to prevent this. Also, my biggest biggest biggest downfall when it comes to eye circles if rubbing my eyes when they're itchy. I literally can't help myself, and rubbing your eyes breaks all the teeny delicate blood vessels under your eyes, causing really awful dark circles. I can always see the next day when I've been rubbing my eyes.
My mum bought me this eye mask which you put in the fridge to cool your eyes. I love this and it really helps with puffy eyes. Anything cooling is good, not just gel eye masks. I used to use tea bags soaked in cold water (the ingredients of the tea also help de-puff) but I always doze off with one of these masks on, and I always ruin the pillow cases with tea stains :P Other good options are cucumber or tomato slices.
Finally a good night eye cream can be really useful. I got this Beaute Initiale Eye gel as a free sample when I bought my Chanel foundation and I've been loving it. I've been using it for a month and it's just about getting to the end, this one is 3ml, and it's £42 for a 15ml bottle, which should in theory last just over 5 months. I really do like this product, and I can definitely see results, my eyes feel a lot less puffy and my dark circles are reduced after using this for a month. If I could afford the full size version (which I can't right now :P) I would definitely buy it.
I'm off to Kent for a week and a bit tomorrow to see my friends and boyfriend :D I'm so excited > . < I haven't seen some people since I went to uni in September! I will be bringing my laptop along too though, so there will be plenty of posts :P

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation Review
Writing this post is a treat I've given myself for almost finishing my report (yayyyy!). I really can't be bothered to finish it though...but I know if I do it tonight I'll feel so much better than rushing at the end of the week :P
I bought Chanel's Perfection Lumiere foundation two weeks ago when I went home after Korea. I was meaning to buy it in duty free at Abu Dhabi, but I literally couldn't face walking around the airport, let alone actually shopping after a 10 hour flight :P.
I got this in Shade 10 Beige, and the lady at the counter was really nice and gave me (and my best friend just because she was hanging around near me :P) free samples of Beaute Initiale Eye Gel, which I have yet to try.
So onto the review :)
Packaging :
Oh so gorgeous, unsurprisingly for Chanel :P I adore this little frosted glass bottle, the black plastic lid has the Chanel logo on the top and it just looks so very very pretty and classy :P Unlike most of my make up which tends to have more bold colourful packaging :P I love this, it makes a beautiful addition to my make up table.
Product :
I tried this a few months ago after I got a sample free with Glamour magazine and fell in love, so unsurprisingly I still love this :P It's liquid and light and doesn't emphasise my dry stressed from looming exams skin. It feels like nothing at all once its on, which is great for me because I HATE heavy foundation so much :( (I just put some on my hand and I can't stop stroking it, it's so soft! :P).
I can't quite identify the smell, it's barely there, but it reminds me a little of suncream and tangerines, ever so slightly :P Whatever it is, it's nice.
It's more matte than dewy, but not overly leaning toward matte. I think this is a useful foundation for going out because I always look shiny in photos on nights out! Generally I prefer a dewy finish, but this gives a gorgeous radiant effect instead of being flat matte on your face.
The coverage is better than I thought it would be, but it's not full, with bad blemishes I still needed a little concealer, but I was quite pleasantly surprised with the coverage.
Price :
£36...yeah...most of that's gone towards the logo at the top of the bottle I'm sure :P It IS nice, and it DOES feel luxurious and you DO have to pay for luxury. But the price is a bit off putting to say the least :P
Would I buy this again?
I do really like this product, and despite the hefty price I'd say it's worth it. However, I think next I'd rather try Chanel's Vitalumiere foundation as I'd prefer a bit more of a dewy feel. Having said that I think this is a brilliant night out foundation, and probably a very nice summers day foundation too due to the slightly matter finish (if we ever get a nice summers day here in wales!). Overall I'd say this is a great foundation, but I just feel something better is still out there.
