Smoky Night Out Look

Hello :) Last night I had such an great dream last night, I made friends with Doctor Who on a bus and we looked after farmyard animals together, I woke up and was just like ohhh :( I wish it was real :P (Mainly because I'm a litttttttttle bit in love with Matt Smith).

Anywayyy, I decided to have a little play with my Bourjois Smoky Eyes trio, I love these eyeshadows and I'd really recommend them. I have 01 Gris Dandy, which is perfect for nights out. I'll definitely be wearing this look next time I go out.

It was quite sunny so my eye looks quite a creepy blue...
For my lips I used my Mac lipglass in pink clash to keep the attention on the eyes.

As ever, playing with my make up has made me realllllly crave going out. In just over 3 weeks it'll be my birthday and I'll be able to go out and have fun > . <. I love being at home, but I can't wait until uni again :P I miss going out so much...

Not a lot going on at the moment really, I couldn't sleep last night so I sorted out my sock drawer into little storage boxes because it was so full and messy. I only ever seem to organise or tidy in the middle of the night...maybe I'm a vampire cleaner?

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation (and shoes!)

I have two hours before I have to leave my warm bedroom and battle the Welsh weather to go down to the estate agents, so time for a post! (btw, looking for a second year house is killing me, WAI SO IMPOSSIBLE! :P)

I bought Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation (in 51, Light Vanilla) a couple of weeks ago, and now I've worn it for a few nights out (and during the day too :P) so I can review it :) This foundation has been raved about and loved by beauty bloggers and the general public (it won the 2011 Make-Up Product of the year for the consumer study of product innovation), so it's not entirely surprising that I'm going to add myself to its list of fans.

This foundation has a good range of shades, I tested 51 light vanilla, and 52 vanilla, and the chose the 51 (the lightest of the range). The darkest isn't that dark though, it's more a deep tan colour, but I'm very pale, so in the summer I won't even get near to the darkest (Shade 58).

I wore this with my primer on underneath, and it lasted all day perfectly, so I adore it in that respect. Because my forehead is weirdly dry I have to mix it with a little moisturiser for that part of my face or it doesn't look as smooth, but that's just me, even when I moisturise loads before putting foundation on my forehead is never happy :P This foundation provides medium coverage and gives me dewy glowy skin (not much of a fan of a matte face so this is perfect for me :P)

Pros:
Inexpensive (£9.99)
Fairly good colour range
Nice smell (sort of like apricots and sun cream, but a lot milder :P)
Stays for a long timeNice dewy finish

Cons:
The packaging! (I'm a very 'judge a book by its cover' girl about make up, and I know I shouldn't be, this is a great product, so I'm just nit picking at this point XD)

This is a great high street foundation, it's only £9.99 and I think it's fabulously cheap for how good it is, I really recommend it :)

On a side note, these are my new shoes :D My boyfriend got them for me (even though it was his birthday :P). I'd seen these in Republic and thought they were cute, they were £20 (I think) in the sale, but as I'm saving for my holiday I couldn't buy them. A few days later (on his birthday) he surprised me with these ^ - ^ (Don't worry, he got a birthday present too :P)

A Bit Of Make Up and a Lot Of Ghibli

Hello again ^ - ^
I'm back at uni! It's weird how much this place feels like home already :P I got back yesterday and already it feels like I haven't been away at all :D Today I went shopping for a few necessary (i.e. boring) bits and a few unnecessary (i.e. fun) bits :P

I've read quite a few positive reviews about Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, so I thought I'd give it a go myself. I'm quite shallow about make up packaging and I prefer to buy prettier packaged things so I wasn't overwhelmed with the simple Bourjois packaging, but I was looking forward to buying this product so I didn't mind a whole lot. I bought mine in shade 51 Light Vanilla for £9.99 which I think is reasonable because there seems to be a fair amount of product inside. Once I've worn this on a night out (the real test :P) I'll review it properly.

My second and last make up buy was the Mac Lustre Lipstick in Lovelorn, a gorgeous girly pink colour. This is my first ever Mac lipstick and I am so completely in love, it's so beautiful *stares doe eyed at lipstick*. This was my treat for revising loads for my exams (the first one is tomorrow! Eeek!) because it was £13.50 which is a little out of budget really, but a treat once in a while won't hurt.....much :P

Now for the photo heavy Ghibli bit :P These are the wonderful Christmas presents my boyfriend gave me. I'm a huge huge huge Studio Ghibli fan so I adore all of these pressies. Firstly my Totoro slippers ^ - ^ So cute!!! Although I have accidentally loosened two of the arms, so I'll have to do a little bit of DIY slipper surgery at some point :P

I also got five mini Japanese Ghibli posters. The best part was they were all my favourite films so this was a really sweet thoughtful gift ^ - ^

Now I'm off to revise some more for my HUGE exam tomorrow *cries*.
