Purple and Gold Christmas Nails

Hello! Christmas is really just around the corner (kinda), I'm revising like mad so I can give myself a few days off over Christmas > . < It makes me think I should have done a little more during termtime...

Anywayyyyy, as a break from revising I decided to make my nails a little more festive, I used my Urban Decay Hashbury purple polish (I love all of my Urban Decay polishes, they're gorgeous and only need one coat) and then topped it off with a Christmassy sprinkling of glitter with Nails Inc. Glamour Glitter polish (free in last months Glamour magazine).

I'm still looking for my perfect high coverage gold glitter polish for Christmas day, I'm sure I'll find it!

Rose Gold Nails

Just a quick post today, about this gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous Urban Decay polish. I'm very much in love with this colour (have it on my toes too). It's perfect for this last little bit of summer that's still hanging on.

The polish is from my Summer Of Love minis collection and is called Shine On. It's such a great polish to use, one coat and it's opaque. I've had it on for a couple of days (without a topcoat because I'm lazy) and it hasn't even thought of chipping. The only downside is that I only have the mini and it's half way used > . < (not from just one application :P That would be mad).

 
Yesterday I got really excited about uni again, and packed another 3 bags, which means I now have 5 bags full of stuff on my floor :P I never thought I'd be more excited about second year than first! Four days to go... (yes I am counting down :P).

Nail Polish Collection

I'm supposed to be tidying my house today...or not :P It's grey and miserable outside right now (shocking :P) and I want nothing more than to curl up in bed with a warm cup of tea and a good book. But no, I will be good and do all my chores because this weekend I'm going to go on a shopping trip with my mum for a couple of days :D Yayyy, I'm looking forward to shopping again so much > . <

Anyway, this morning I've been looking through my nail polish collection and throwing out the old skanky ones, and I thought I'd show you the polishes which made the cut. So here is my nail polish collection:

First the base coats/top coats, L - R : Natural Collection - Peach Manicure, Pink Manicure. Etude House - WH701. Max Factor - Crystal Clear. Sally Hansen - Diamond Strength.

Barry M and Collection 2000, L - R: Barry M - Nail Effects Black, Berry Ice Cream, Lemon Ice Cream, Mint Green. Collection 2000 - Ebony, Hot Purple.

My old Eyeko polishes, I got these a couple of years ago at an Eyeko stall back when they had their old 'cute' packaging. Eyeko doesn't sell polishes anymore, and these aren't the greatest, but I love their packaging. L - R: Eyeko - Vamp, Disco, Pastel, Pretty, Punk, Saucy Red.

Polishes I meant to use for nail art, but never got around to :P (I think these were meant to be for apple nails) L - R:  The Face Shop - RD302, WH002, GR502. Claire's (no name, this was for halloween, it's a really skanky green colour, but I'm keeping it for fancy dress :P).

So that's all my polishes in my collection, right now I'm keeping them in a make up bag, which is not very convenient at all. Nearer to September I'm planning a big 'house' shop, so hopefully I'll find a better storage solution for when I move into my house (so excited about having a house next year at uni!!!).

Also I passed my first year, so I'm definitely going back in September *happy dance*, after several dreams that I'd failed completely I'm very glad to have my results :P

Bright Summer Nails

It's amazing how quickly home can get boring isn't it? During my last few weeks of uni I was pining for home, for my dog and cats, my comfortable bed, my room full of mess and a clean kitchen. But now after 3 days home (since I got back from visiting friends) I'm bored. > . <  Oh dear, I'm thinking summer project? I just need to decide on one first!

To counteract my boredom and the miserable weather outside I decided to wear gorgeous bright blue nails to liven things up a bit. I got this polish from Skin Food during my holiday to Korea two and a half months ago (it feels like it's been so much longer than that!). I actually only bought it because I fell in love with the cute frosted bottle, but after wearing this on my nails today I'm now in love with the colour too.

Ahhh, just so happy ^ - ^

I'll keep you updated if I find a summer project, maybe doing the garden, getting a job, getting fit, eating healthily...who knows :P Of course there's still the possibility that I will win the lottery, become a millionaire and go on a fabulous holiday this summer... :P

Fingers crossed the sun comes out :P

Sparkly Nails and Much Hatred For Exams

Urghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh > . < Exams...EXAMS. I dislike them intensely. Unfortunately for me the two things I turn to when I'm stressed from revising are : 1) chocolate and 2) shopping. Once I get all my orders in the post I'll be able to do a revision stress buying haul :P Oh wells, once they're over they're over > . <

To make myself feel a little better I painted my nails with this gorgeous sparkly nail polish I got from Korea. It's from The Face Shop and it's in BK901. I loves it ^ - ^

Unfortunately the pictures simply don't do it justice, the black background with tiny flecks of sparkle changing from purple to green to blue in the light. It's even prettier in the bottle because at the right
angle the colours change from one side to the other. I love it, love it, love it!

Terrible ice cream cravings right now... but the student shop closed 10 minutes ago and I'd have to walk ten minutes down a dark, deserted, rainy road to get to the 24 hour shop, so I'm thinking...not tonight :P

I wish everyone doing exams right now so much luck and the promise that they will be over soon! The end is in sight! For me my last one is on the 24th, and believe me after that I will be drinking, eating and sleeping incredible amounts (but probably not all at once :P).

Korea Diary 4 : Lazy Day and Nail Stickers

Tomorrow my friend has a mini test, so she's revising today. Which means I have a lazy day to get some sleeps and some rests! We went to the Hwaseong Fortress yesterday, but I think I'll write about that in my next Korea Diary :P Because today all I want to do is show you my prettyful nails :)

I got these white flower nail stickers from Etude House, along with the baby pink nail polish. I've never worn nail stickers before, but I wanted to get into all the cuteness of Korea :P I definitely want to buy more though (maybe a little less cutesy :P). They're really adorable and I can't stop looking at my nails!

Just a mini post today, because I'm going to go buy a heap of chocolate now and start writing my report! (yay...).

Mini Springtime Haul

Technically I shouldn't be shopping because I have Korea in less than a week (!!!!! exciting !!!!!), but I only spent £8 on this haul as two things were free gifts and one was a pressie. So I'll get cracking on the haul :P

I'll start with my free gifts, I don't quite understand why I got these, the shop assistant explained it to me a couple of times....but I'm still a bit lost :P I think it was a special event at The Body Shop when I visited, and if I got a body shop card (usually £5, but I got mine for free) I'd get a discount, and free gifts for joining. So I picked up my mums Mother's Day pressie (which you can see here ).

I picked up a Body Butter duo, in Sweet Pea. I didn't actually know what Sweet Pea smelt like until I received this (and I love it :P) it's a really gentle floral scent. Because it's a duo there's a side for normal skin and a thicker cream on the other side for dry skin. That's the only flaw I see in the product, I use the dry skin cream on less areas than the normal skin side, so I think it would have been better to only have a quarter of the pot as a dry skin section. I can see myself using up the normal skin cream a lot faster than the dry skin section.

The second free gift I got was the White Musk Libertine body mist, I'm not usually a fan of body mists, but this one smells quite appealing, although it does have a talcum powder after smell (which I can't help but associate with my grandma :P). So I've been using this as a slight spritz over my clothes in my wardrobe (I like spraying my clothes to make them smell nice :P).

The next three things I bought myself. I've been craving pastels since it started getting warmer, but I couldn't allow myself to buy clothes, so I bought the cheaper alternative of nail polishes. I got these three Barry M nail polishes for £2.99 each, bargain :D I got : Mint Green (304), Berry (203) and Lemon (307). I love these so much, I can't stop looking at them and smiling :P I love springtime and warm weather :). However with all Barry M polishes I need a few layers to get a good colour.

Finally I got this gorgeous summer dress from Republic. This was the gift :) My boyfriend bought me this to wear in Korea because he'd seen me looking at it when we went shopping earlier in the week ^ - ^ I'm not seeing him for a whole month now because he's gone home for a shoulder operation and I've got my Korea holiday > . < I'll buy him loads of pressies from Korea :P

Not a huge haul (when I allow myself I can buy an awful lot more.... I fear to imagine how much I'll be buying in Korea :P), but a few good things in it :)

Ciaté Nail Polish and 100 Followers!

Hello ^ - ^ I reached 100 followers today and I'm so excited about it! Thank you to everyone who has followed me, it really makes me happy that you all like my blog *blushes* I have decided to do a little giveaway to celebrate...HOWEVER, who wants boring products from England? Seeing as I'm off to Korea in less than a month I thought I'd buy a few goodies there and give you guys the chance to win them :)

Anyway, this post is really about one of my favourite nail polishes, this is Ciaté's Dangerous Affair (013). It's a gorgeous vampy dark red, oh how I love it! I got this last year (I think) in Elle or Glamour or some similar magazine :P. It's my only Ciaté polish, but I NEED more in my life! It's gorgeous and shiny (I haven't been bothered to put a top coat on, so I'm pretty impressed with how it looks on its own). I have had to put on two coats, for some reason the first always looks streaky, but the second one is always perfect? Strange magic :P 

Also the packaging is super duper cute! I have to have cute looking nail polishes, I have a shameful corner of my chest of drawers where all my horribly packaged nail polishes go :P (Including a very dodgy sick colour green I got for Halloween a few years back). The packaging has changed since I got mine, but not by much, the shape and bow are still there, but the label has Ciaté lower down and larger, which I think is a good thing as you can barely see the name on mine because of the bow.

These polishes are £9 each, but I think for a rainy day and a bit of a nail investment they're perfect. I do have a Ciaté wish list (for when I have money...which may be never :P), the colours I'm loving are: Knickerbockerglory (So pink!), Vintage (gorgeous grey), Cutie Pie (light perfect pink), Sugar Plum (pastel purple) and Couture Cream (nude pinky brown). Although really I want them all! :P

Today has been another beautiful mountain day, so I thought I'd share a (not exactly brilliant) snap I took earlier, it's hard to tell in the photo but the clouds went a gorgeous pinky colour! Apparently it was brighter over the sea, but alas I cannot see the sea from my uni halls :P

Mens Nail Polish and Tea

Hello ^ - ^ This is my tiny middle of exams (urgh) post.

I've been wearing dark navy nails for a few days now, I love wearing dark nails in the winter, and it gives me something interesting to stare at whilst I'm bored in exams. I found this Candy Man nail polish by Hard Candy in my nail polish collection. I have to admit I'm not entirely sure how this ended up there.... Candy Man was a line of nail polishes from 1997 for men, despite this I think it's great, the colour is gorgeous and shiny and it hasn't chipped since I put it on three days ago.

The only things getting me through revision are green tea and Ben and Jerrys (mmmmmmmmm chunky monkeyyyyyy). One is slightly healthier than the other I'll admit... After exams I intend on keeping my green tea habit as stress and bad eating have seriously affected my skin, I've had breakouts and massive dryness *sadface* Hopefully It'll all go back to normal after my last exam :P

Christmas Time, New Boots and Nail Polish

It's getting very very very cold! ^ - ^ I'm going home in a few days, and I can't wait :) As much as I've enjoyed my first term of uni, I am looking forward to going home and seeing my pets! I only have one exam this week (tomorrow eeeeeeeep!) and then I'm free (ignoring the January exams of course :P). I have to start packing all my stuff on Thursday > . < I hate packing :P

Earlier this week there was a funfair in town! It was really teeny tiny, but it had a few good rides. My friends went on a huge one with two arms which swung you around...I stayed on the ground and held their bags :P I don't think I like heights too much :P. I did get a chance to play on some of the rides though :D I almost lost my hat on a couple and had to tie my shoes up extra extra tight to stop them from flying off :P

Speaking of shoes my darling blue boots from New Look last year have officially died *cries*. I've worn them so much that the sole has completely worn out. :( They're not waterproof anymore, the final straw was my feet getting soaked through :P I can't handle that. To replace them I got these cuties from River Island for £35. They're black lace up suede boots with grippy soles (definitely good on all these icy hills :P) they have a small wedge as well which I really like, it's always good to be a bit taller ;)

My only other new item this month (I'm poor because of Christmas :P) is this cute Nails Inc. nail polish in Basil Street. It's a really cute nude pink colour and I've been wearing it non stop. I love how elegant and understated it looks. It really enhances any outfit. I really love Nails Inc. varnishes, I need to buy more! :P

That's my short, end of term at uni post, hopefully I'll have more over Christmas, what with all the presents :P Hehehe <3
