Exams Are Over!

Exams are over for the year! *Does happy dance* Yayyayayay ^ - ^ My last exam wasn't even that bad, there were only a few questions that confused me, the rest was, not easy exactly :P but do-able.

Afterwards I had the best after exam day ever. First we went up to a hill overlooking the sea for a picnic, (I ate A LOT of bad food yesterday :P), after we drove over to a nice sandy beach to spend the afternoon *blissssss*.

The beach and my pasty pasty legs :P
I love the beach, whilst most of our group played, a few of us (girls :P) sunbathed and snoozed out in the sun :) I love that sleepy sun feeling. Because I'm paranoid about burning I put on loads of suncream but somehow missed a bit in the middle of my back, so I have a bright red blob there...not attractive :P

My beach kit :P
At the end of the afternoon me and a friend went rockpooling and the weirdest thing happened. Well not the weirdest thing everrrrr, but quite strange :P And it freaked us out so much that we had to run back to the sandy part of the beach :P It was a strange rustly light clicky sound, at first we thought it was the seaweed drying and rustling in the wind a little. But then I put my hand on a rock and the crackling went really loud 0.o. Then we realised it was the barnacles > . < I don't know why this was scary, maybe because there were so many of them :P Then everytime we stepped on a barnacle covered rock they went mad, so we ran away :P

Scary, scary barnacles.

Today isn't going to be quite as much fun though :( I have to pack because my first year at uni is over! I'm going home on Sunday *cries*. But then on Wednesday I'm off visiting friends in Reading and then the week after I'm visiting friends in London :D Yayyy, it's going to be a good summer ^ - ^

I hope everyones exams went well and if you've still got some left GOOD LUCK! <3

Little Hollister Haul

I got a few bits and bobs from Hollister as a present from my lovely mum this week :D Because I've been revising hard and because my mum has just as many issues with controlling her shopping as I do!

I got two plain V necked t-shirts, I love the quality and soft fabric of Hollister tees, they feel so comfy, great for curling up and revising, or just wearing casually with jeans. I don't have any plain t-shirts really so these are really useful.

Next some denim shorts with a belt, my old New Look denim shorts have seen (much) better days, so these will be great this summer ^ - ^ Now if only the weather would brighten up so I can actually wear them! > . <

Finally is this cute white frilly top, I love love love this so much :) It's a little less casual than everything else, but I can see myself wearing it shopping or to picnics in the park. *Starts fantasising about summer*

Today I had my chemistry/biology exam (which is verrrrry icky) but it's over! I put a big red line through it on my timetable ^ - ^ Only two more to go, but I'm having a break tonight :P My brain deserves a rest :P

Also, I saw a rainbow today! I got really quite excited, love rainbows :P

That's it for tonight, I'm now going to curl up, watch some old QI episodes and eat my new favourite Ben & Jerry's ice cream Vermonster (which is SO yum).

Sparkly Nails and Much Hatred For Exams

Urghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh > . < Exams...EXAMS. I dislike them intensely. Unfortunately for me the two things I turn to when I'm stressed from revising are : 1) chocolate and 2) shopping. Once I get all my orders in the post I'll be able to do a revision stress buying haul :P Oh wells, once they're over they're over > . <

To make myself feel a little better I painted my nails with this gorgeous sparkly nail polish I got from Korea. It's from The Face Shop and it's in BK901. I loves it ^ - ^

Sorry about the pen stains on my thumb :P Proof I've been revising hard!

Unfortunately the pictures simply don't do it justice, the black background with tiny flecks of sparkle changing from purple to green to blue in the light. It's even prettier in the bottle because at the right
angle the colours change from one side to the other. I love it, love it, love it!

Terrible ice cream cravings right now... but the student shop closed 10 minutes ago and I'd have to walk ten minutes down a dark, deserted, rainy road to get to the 24 hour shop, so I'm thinking...not tonight :P

I wish everyone doing exams right now so much luck and the promise that they will be over soon! The end is in sight! For me my last one is on the 24th, and believe me after that I will be drinking, eating and sleeping incredible amounts (but probably not all at once :P).

Have fun with your revision ;P

End Of Exams, Lipgloss and Blush

Exams are over!! It feels very strange to not feel guilty about lazing around and not revising, strange, but very good :P To celebrate the end of exams I bought myself a couple of presents from buyapower.com. I've never used this website before and I have to say I'm quite impressed. The basic concept is that the website buys products in bulk and can sell them for cheaper, but only if enough people buy it, the more people buy it the lower the price becomes. I got a Mac Lipglass and a Nars blush. I wore both products last night, so I'll review them here as well.

Firstly the Lipglass, I got this for £8.50 (including P&P) which I think is a great saving. I got it in the colour Pink Clash, which is a glittery pinky brown colour. I really loved wearing it last night, but because it's still a gloss I had to reapply whenever I had a drink, but that's why they put so many mirrors in the girls bathrooms :P Also I adore the smell, it's not too strong, but it is delicious, I definently want to buy more colours.

I got the Nars The Multiple Orgasm Cream blush (which is mean to be multipurpose for lips and cheeks, but I wore it as a blush last night), this was more expensive at £22, but still a great saving and this has been on my wishlist for quite a while. I'm really happy with this product, I can see why it's raved about so much. The colour is a really gorgeous slightly corally pink with a lot of shimmer in it. It's really not for casual occasions in my opinion, or for people who dislike shimmer. The colour is really buildable though, so it can work with a more toned down look, last night I wore it a bit more obviously, and I loved it, it's just so so so so pretty ^ - ^ Another recommendation :)

Now that exams are over I'm going to be going out to celebrate a lot more so I can review all my christmas present beauty buys properly :P Especially seeing as I'm on a self imposed budget from now on :P (excluding the lightsabre chopsticks I bought my boyfriend for his birthday :P)

New House, Pets and JANUARY EXAMS

I'm home! Yays :) Except that we've moved and I have a new house, so it's not the home I left :P I've spent the last couple of days unpacking boxes (so boring) but finally my bedroom is starting to look more like my own :)

I'm back with my pets! I've missed having fluffy things wandering around, at uni it's so pet-less :( So sad. I had forgotten just how much dog fur gets on my clothes though - _ - I need three clothes brushes to make my clothes not ginger and fluffy anymore.... Technically the pets aren't allowed upstairs, but I let my cat up last night to nap on my bed, shhh :P

I went Christmas shopping yesterday (woo Christmas :P) and got two Rimmel products : a red lipstick from the Kate Moss range in 01, I've been wanting a statement red lipstick for ages, I think it's especially good for the holidays, very festive :) I also got a lip liner in 024 red diva, for the lipstick. I got the lipstick for £5, on sale down from £6.50 and the lip liner for £3.99, so not really pricey :P

I'm writing this as a break from revising...it's so very very boring :P After a while I just want to curl up and sleep :P Once my January exams are over I might reward myself with a shopping spree I probably can't afford ;P

Merry Christmas!

Exams, exams, exams and a bit of make up too

URGH. It's time for exams. Which means it's time for lots and lots of revision *major sadface* I have three exams and one essay over the next two weeks > . < So scared! I'm going to literally not go out at all, I will be a gremlin hiding in my room :D Next week I'll be hopefully going to visit my best friend after my last exam ^ - ^ I am ignoring the HUGE train prices :P

Today I had two lectures on worms, I turned up to the first one, but when the lecturer said the next would be on earthworms I just went home XD I cannot handle that, far too icky! So I had a massive shop and a nap :P

I was just revising, but I decided to have a break and do this instead. I created a smoky eye night time/clubbing look. I think I'm just pining because I want to go out somewhere XD. I love smoky dark eyes at night, because it makes your eyes look really intense and stand out. I didn't use a lot for this look and it was really quick and simple, because if you make a mess you can just blend it out :P

I started by concealing my UBER EPIC under eye circles (hello lack of sleep :P) with my Rimmel Hide The Blemish concealer in 001 Ivory. I just smooth it under my eyes with my ring fingers so it's more gentle. Then I primed my eyelids with Lemon Aid by Benefit.

For my eyes I used my Smoky Eyes trio eyeshadow palette by Bourjois in 01 gris dandy. I love this mini palette, it has a silver, grey and black, all shimmery and really pretty. I started by putting the silver up to my browbone, and then the grey on the outer half of my lid, concentrating on the crease and blending to get rid of harsh lines. Finally I put the black on my crease and under my eye in a V shape. To make this more intense I used my Rimmel Soft Kohl eyeliner in 061 jet black to go over this V. I blended like crazy. Then I lined halfway along my waterline at the outer edge, only up to where the V ends.  I also lined my upper lash line and blended to add more definition to my eyes. Because my eyes were pretty dark by now I added a dash of white eyeshadow in my inner corners, to open and brighten my eyes. I used my white eyeshadow from my Topshop Eyes palette. Finally I added loads and loads and loads of mascara, for added drama and a complete look.

This proves just how awful revision is XD I can't wait until the end of next week when it'll all be over ^ - ^ ....for a few weeks anyway :P
