Helllo :) I've finished two of my exams! Only one to go next week and it's all over! Very very excited for that day to come. In the meantime I've been trying out gradual tanners again. I try them every year, because I love golden summer skin, but if I go out into the sun I'm so pale that I go red and then white right after, or I don't tan at all - _ - I've used different products each year, and nothings impressed me so far. I can't really remember but I think I used a Garnier and a L'Oreal one before...I think. Whatever I used one was unnoticeable, even after building it up for a week, the other left bright orange blotches where I hadn't blended it in properly....not ideal.
This year I thought I'd try again, whilst I was browsing in Boots my friend came up to me and started raving about how amazing she found Dove Summer Glow, so I thought why not, it's only £5.69, I'll get it. And wow, am I glad I got it. I can now say that this is the best gradual tanner I've ever used (of three, so not saying much but stilll :P), I really like this.
I got the one fore fair to medium skin because I am paley paley pale. After the first use I could notice a slight difference in my skin, it looked like I'd been out on a warm Spring day, nothing too major, but a little bit of colour. I've been using this every other day, and the build up is really gradual and nothing scary, I don't want to look like I've been faking, I want to look like I've been all active and playing in the sun (rather than sitting in a dark room under a duvet revising for days....).
Also because I'm lazy I put this on realllllly quickly, this was my mistake with one of my old ones, it left streaks and splotches of uneven colour. This one is VERY forgiving. So far I've had about three small (less than a 5p coin) splotches, and they aren't orange, just a slightly darker brown colour than my skin. They just look like slight bruises, rather than something unnatural :P I don't even mind them...it makes me look outdoorsy :P
I use this right before bed because it's also a moisturiser, which I think is fabulous, especially because it makes it easier to blend into my skin. It's also quite a good moisturiser and leaves my skin feeling really hydrated, but then again it IS Dove, and Dove is good at moisturising :P
Finally one thing I don't like about the product is the smell, but you can't get away from that really. It smells like a McVities factory exploded on me. I do find it quite strong > . < but luckily the smell fades after half a day.
Overall I'd really recommend this product, great colour, great price and great for moisturising.
Again good luck to everyone still suffering with exams! The end is soon, just remember that amazing feeling of relief when they're over and you have an incredibly long summer ahead of you!
