New Bedroom!

Hello! I've finally arrived at uni, but as of yet have no internet :( So right now I'm curled up in a pub writing this. But in two weeks I'll be able to curl up in bed using the internet!

I thought I'd just make this one a quick post showing you some pictures of my new room at uni :) I've put up loads of posters and pretty things to make it girly and homey. Unfortunately my wardrobe is tiny (the brown cupboard above the bed, so I need to find a separate place to store my big bulky winter coats, not sure where yet...

Loads and loads of photos

I need to organise my makeup better
My shelves

I'm sure it won't stay this tidy for long...

In two weeks I'll be back to regular posts!

Rose Gold Nails

Just a quick post today, about this gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous Urban Decay polish. I'm very much in love with this colour (have it on my toes too). It's perfect for this last little bit of summer that's still hanging on.

The polish is from my Summer Of Love minis collection and is called Shine On. It's such a great polish to use, one coat and it's opaque. I've had it on for a couple of days (without a topcoat because I'm lazy) and it hasn't even thought of chipping. The only downside is that I only have the mini and it's half way used > . < (not from just one application :P That would be mad).

Yesterday I got really excited about uni again, and packed another 3 bags, which means I now have 5 bags full of stuff on my floor :P I never thought I'd be more excited about second year than first! Four days to go... (yes I am counting down :P).

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder Review

Hello there :) Exactly a week til I'm back at uni! Eeeee! Although I have been looking through my timetable today... Uber long practicals on Saturdays and Sundays? Um no thanks :P At least it's not every weekend, I'd cry if that were the case. But my weekly changing timetable AND weekend stuff is going to make finding a job even harder *pouts*. At least this year some of the practicals will be on the research ship :D I'm so excited, it'll feel like I'm being a real marine biologist :P

So I got Rimmel's Stay Matte pressed powder about a week ago, purely as a whim. I was in Boots and thought, that will be useful :P In the summer I get quite an oily face so I wanted to counter this, I've heard good things about this powder, and as it was only £3.99 I decided to give it a go.

I tested it out on my day shopping in London, which involved hot weather, a lot of walking, shopping (obviously :P) and tube rides. Needless to say it was a day where usually I'd be a shiny hot mess. However the powder did exactly as it said on the tin, kept my face shine free, without looking cakey. I checked my face in the mirror loads that day (shops have an awful lot of mirrors) so I could constant checks on how it was faring.

I found that my face started to get a little shiny after about 5 and a half hours, not as bad as it would have been without the powder, but I could have used a top up. Luckily we headed home then so it didn't especially matter.

This will be a perfect powder for nights out, so I can dance and drink and avoid a shiny face :P And it'll last all evening, unless I have a really epic night out, in which case I won't care about a bit of shine :P

Birthday Pressies!

I'm home! It feels like it's been ages even though it was only a week and a half > . < In another week and a bit I'm back to uni, SO EXCITED ^ - ^ Anyway, yesterday I got the last of my birthday pressies (from my dad) and I thought I'd show you everything I got :)

My boyfriend gave me a Totoro hat ^ - ^ and a 'Keep Calm and Eat Cupcakes' mug :D He also bought me some gluten free flour (I can't eat gluten *cries* so normally I can't have cake), and we baked a chocolate cake. I ate most of it :P He also took me to the cinema to watch Brave and then out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant I'd been eyeing up for months :P (Just thinking about the food there is making me hungry...)

My boyfriends parents gave me a pretty necklace and bracelet set and a mini bottle of Cacherel's Anais Anais perfume, it smells soooo good :)

My friend Las got me my ultimate guilty pleasure (and hers too actually :P). The film Crossroads, not the good one :P The other one...the one with Britney Spears :PI haven't seen it since I was about 10 :P

My lovely lovely friend Daydreamer  gave me the Nars Pleasures Of Paris Palette, I can't wait to try it out :)

My Grandma, Aunt and Uncle all gave me birthday money, so when I went to London I shopped :P First is this faux leather jacket from Zara. I've been wanting a leather jacket since last year, so I'm so glad I finally got one.

Next I popped into Abercrombie and Fitch and picked up a few lovely things, the super skinny dark wash jeans (such a gorgeous fit), the hoodie (sooo soft, I want more of these), and a gorgeous white lace skirt which I can't wait to wear!

From my mum I got Chanel Chance perfume, I love love love this and have been pining over it for a few months. I haven't taken it out of its gorgeous box yet because I'm back off to uni soon and don't want it to get hurt in transit!

Finally the present I'm most excited about (and the present which is still charging!) the Clarisonic mia from my dad, although he seemed very confused as to why I was so excited about a 'big electric toothbrush' :P He got me the hot pink one (yay for pink :P). I'm really excited to see how this will work and will keep you updated :) I've read so many reviews I hope it works for me.

I had such a great birthday :D And got some fantastic presents ^ - ^ Now that it's over don't expect any more hauls from me until I've managed to get myself a job! :P (Fingers crossed!)

Re-Gen Cream Review

Hello ^ - ^ On Sunday I went on a HUGE shopping day in London with my mum, I got some lovely lovely things, and since I bought them with birthday money I'll be including them in my birthday haul (coming soon :P). Yesterday and today have been more lazy, my mum's at work today, so I've been reading in the garden chillaxing in the sun. Tomorrow I'm off home again and in just under two weeks I'm going back to uni! To live in a house! My first student house ever! Very exciting times, I'm going to try and create a mini girly haven in my room seeing as I'll be living with three boys (why did I think this would be a good idea? :P).

Anywayyy, I bought this Re-Gen cream a couple of weeks ago after reading a really positive review from Zoella. This cream claims to 'prevent and provide treatment for stretch marks, scars, dry skin and blemishes' and seeing as it was only £4.99 from Home Bargains I thought I'd give it a go.

When I get a spot it takes ages to heal completely. The actual spot will go away leaving a red mark for months afterwards (about 4-5 months usually). Even when my skin is being clear I still have these leftover marks. So I've been using this cream in the hopes of up the healing process.

Firstly I just want to say that this works. It really does. For a product so cheap I wasn't expecting an awful lot but it does exactly what it says on the tin, or little plastic tub even... The instructions say to use it three times a day, and rub the cream in for several minutes. Now I have been realllly busy this past week and a bit (as in ever since I've started using this product) and I haven't used it every single day, and when I do it's closer to twice a day, and I know I don't rub it in as long as I should. However, I've still been seeing results.

The marks have been fading noticeably, they haven't gone yet, but they are a lot lighter than they once were. I know that if I keep this up (and maybe adhere to the instructions a little more > . <) they'll be gone much faster than if left naturally. I seriously love this product, and a little bit goes such a long way!

For the actual product, when first applied it can feel a bit greasy on the skin, but this goes away after rubbing it in properly. The cream is white and smells like baby shampoo, but it's a light scent. I like this as it seems that it hasn't had a load of unnecessary stuff added to it.

As this cream is meant for all sorts of marks it's a great multi purpose cream. Just before my birthday I got completely eaten by bloody horse flies (I hate these little things) and the backs of my thighs were covered in bite marks. I used this cream to speed up the disappearance of the red marks :D I've also been using it (somewhat sporadically) on the scars on my feet (from wearing gorgeous shoes far too long) and they have faded considerably.

Although I bought this cream to use on my face I'd recommend it for fading any mark at all. I love love love this product and would recommend it to anyone :) And for only £4.99 it's such great value!
